Work resources are now located entirely on google classrooms, please ensure you have enrolled onto them and you are completing all work assigned.

For year 9 students we are now only expecting you to complete work for your chosen subject (The table below has now been updated to reflect the additional subjects)

Below you will find a brief summary of all the work that has been set for this week.

There is work for each of the lessons that students would have had at school, however, we would ask both guardians and students to consider wellbeing and although we would want the work to be completed to support their education when we return to school, please take time for other activities such as cooking, mindfulness etc and ensure exercise forms part of your everyday routine (Joe Wicks is leading a 9am workout every morning on the body coach you tube site.)

Although we feel that this school work is extremely important for all the students we also appreciate that their mental health is so important during these unknown times. We have recently sent an email to all students put together by the Mental Health Ambassadors, reminding students that there is information, advice and guidance on the Chase Care pages and useful numbers for organisations offering vital support such as Kooth.

Examine religious teachings, beliefs and attitudes about human rights and social justice.

Revise Week 1 of module 5’s vocab list that you learnt before half term then complete the test in Google Quiz. Don’t use your book, see what you can remember.

Retrieval practice – what can you remember from week 5? Complete the starter quiz and see! Again, do this from memory.

Task 1 – Read the texts and then for the 10 sentences select the name of the person who it applies too.

Task 2 – Alphabet revision – listen to the 10 people, what are their names?

Task 3 – listen to the 3 people and fill in the ID card for them

Task 4 – complete the ID card for yourself in the Google Assignment. This is in a separate section of the Distance Work so look carefully!

Learn this week’s vocab Spanish. Week 1 in module 5.

Work your way through the powerpoints Woche 1A/ Woche 1B; , learning and practising greeting phrases and numbers

Log into Linguascope beginners and find the 2 numbers sections in the red tab, called die Grundlagen (the basics). Play, practice then take the final test, ‘teste dich’ for both.


Write a dialogue in your books, trying to do it from memory with as much detail as possible. 

Practice greetings – find yourself a speaking partner over the phone or internet if you can, if not talking to yourself is also fine!

This is week two of a TWO week project 

Brightsparks competition

Please read the instructions that have been assigned to you.

You will need to fill in the entry form and design something that fits this design brief:

What will cities look like in 2050? How will they be powered to be vibrant, healthy and clean places to live?

Over the next few weeks you will complete 3 tasks on Corona Street Art.

Task 1 – create an A3 response page on street art where Coronavirus is the subject matter, draw/paint some of the imagery (at least 4 images) you find online (pinterest is fantastic for ideas)

  • Your second task is to change your face (or someone else) in 10 different w
  • ays. Whether you choose to use yourself and do self-portraits, or use a model, you need to stick to the same person on all 10 photographs.

Component 1 : part of the exam/ theoretical part of the course is to watch live performances.

Currently on ‘NT at home’ this week is a political Drama called ‘This House’ but if that doesn’t interest you then use the link on GC and go into the archives: Why not watch Treasure Island if you didn’t see it or One Man, Two Guvnors ?


  1. Write a small *review of one of the plays:

Look at two characters – why is their performance successful? How do they achieve this?

  1. Look at one or two key moments from the play you are watching- how do the actors use voice and physical movement to create their roles convincingly
  2. How do they use set/props to aid their role?

Write about 3/4 paragraphs and submit through the GC please.
